Nancy Faeser, German Federal Minister of the Interior and Community, visited adesso at the Smart Country Convention in Berlin. The minister took the opportunity to learn about the IT service provider’s activities in the area of digital identities. In 2024, adesso plans to launch a new eID service on the market that complements the BundID account offered by the government.

Changes in the adesso SE Executive Board: Mark Lohweber will become the new CEO at the beginning of 2024, taking over from Michael Kenfenheuer, who will leave the Executive Board by the end of 2023. In addition, Dirk Pothen will end his Executive Board contract early for personal reasons as of December 31, 2023.

The IT service provider adesso SE and the Bundesliga football club FC Augsburg have joined forces to build a new cloud-based platform for data-driven marketing. The platform will make it possible to use the internal sales and marketing functions more efficiently and target spectators, fans, partners and sponsors with new, individually tailored services.

adesso is set to make blockchain systems more secure by becoming a validator for the fintech company SWIAT. The partnership will see adesso provide selected blockchain nodes, helping to ensure that incoming function calls within a blockchain are validated and correctly executed according to defined rules and protocols.

IT service provider adesso has been offering a tailor-made portfolio for the sports industry for around a year now. More and more customers are opting to make use of the company’s digitalisation expertise, with adesso being one of just a handful of IT service providers with such a wealth of digital product development experience in sport. VfL Bochum is the latest club to work with adesso, as it aims to create a seamless customer journey for its fans and partners. To accomplish this, the Bundesliga club is implementing the Salesforce Sales Cloud with adesso’s help.

ECO:DIGIT (Enabling green COmputing and DIGItal Transformation) is a joint project involving the German Informatics Society, the Oeko-Institut, the Open Source Business Alliance, adesso and Siemens that aims to create a platform to assess the sustainability of software applications. The digital test bench, where all the data is collated and processed, is being developed by adesso.
