adesso, a leading IT service provider in Germany, is taking the opportunity of winning a project with an international bank from Bahrain to open its first national subsidiary in the MENA (Middle East/North Africa) region. With immediate effect, adesso Arabia Ltd. will provide its services to customers in the Gulf region from the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh. In Riyadh, adesso is already working for the joint venture between a German insurance company and a Saudi bank and provides development services from its own global delivery centres. adesso's activities on the Arabian Peninsula emphasise its international growth strategy and target a booming market. At the same time, the IT service provider is increasing its attraction as a partner for globally active companies expanding into the MENA region. Dr Andreas Nolte, Managing Director of adesso insurance solutions, is responsible for the new location in Riyadh and assumes a dual role as Managing Director.

The new country organisation will initially focus on the core sectors of banking and insurance. In addition to realising implementation and migration projects, adesso Arabia will be responsible for developing customised software solutions for the local market together with local customers and project partners.

Dortmund, 25 March 2024 – In its consolidated financial statements, adesso SE has confirmed the preliminary figures for 2023 that were published by the end of February. The adesso Group saw another sharp increase in group sales in 2023, with the figure up by 26 % (of which 24 percentage points is organic) year on year to EUR 1,135.9 million (previous year: EUR 900.3 million), breaking the EUR 1 billion barrier for the first time.

After lying vacant for many years, the city of Dresden’s former public employment office is being brought back to life, with the IT service provider adesso moving into the historic building on Maternistrasse. The company had already set its sights on this building when establishing its Dresden office, but the interior first had to be converted into a modern office in line with listed building regulations. In the process, adesso and the building’s owner showed their devotion to historical detail by making every effort to retain the original architecture and design of the premises.

DMEA 2024, Europe's leading trade show for digital health, is scheduled to run in Berlin from 9 to 11 April. For the first time, adesso, a leading German and international IT service provider, will have its own booth at the event. Visitors to Booth E-102a in Hall 3.2 can see for themselves the comprehensive range of services the digitalisation partner offers for the healthcare sector. adesso will be presenting an AI-supported future version of the Telematics Infrastructure Messenger (TI-M) instant messaging service, which the company will be offering in partnership with famedly and element. The new messenger has the potential to take intersectoral communication between service providers, payers and patients to a whole new level by enabling secure end-to-end communication among all stakeholders in accordance with the specifications of the telematics infrastructure. As another special highlight, adesso will have Apple Vision Pro headsets on hand so visitors can experience the potential applications of augmented and virtual reality in the fields of health and life sciences.

adesso is set to open its first office in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate on 1 March, with a brand-new site in Koblenz. As part of its continued growth strategy, the international IT service provider is expanding its presence on the domestic market with its 33rd office in Germany. The new office will allow adesso to increasing its proximity to current customers and potential new business in the region and target SMEs, corporations and public institutions with its portfolio of services in IT consulting, software development and IT operations. Customers will benefit from adesso’s expertise as an experienced partner in digital transformations and IT modernisation, as well as in the use of artificial intelligence, data and analytics, and cloud technologies.

adesso partner Markant has walked away with this year’s EHI Retail Institute reta Award in the category Best Connected Retail Solution, with adesso being crowned Top Supplier Retail 2024 in the same category.

The adesso Group has continued its international expansion and growth strategy by acquiring arteno, one of Turkey’s leading SAP consulting service providers. arteno’s 30 employees will become part of adesso Turkey, subject to a formal review by the Turkish authorities.

The adesso SE Supervisory Board has appointed Benedikt Bonnmann to the Executive Board of adesso SE with effect from 1 April 2024. His contract will run until 2028. Bonnmann joined adesso in 2017. Most recently, he headed up the Digital Horizontals business area as Executive Director and was personally responsible for the Data & Analytics division. By making this appointment, the Supervisory Board continues to set up the adesso Group to take further advantage of the considerable business opportunities offered by artificial intelligence. Bonnmann will also take over Executive Board responsibility for the Automotive, Life Science, Manufacturing and Retail industries from Torsten Wegener, who is set to step down from the Executive Board when his contract ends on 31 March 2024.

Short-term regulatory changes, new market dynamics and cost pressure are just some of the many challenges facing energy companies right now. adesso’s presence at this year’s E-world, the leading trade fair for the energy industry, will focus on demonstrating how energy providers, municipal utilities and grid operators can master these challenges with the help of digital solutions.
