adesso and SWIAT facilitate access to blockchain for financial institutions with “SWIAT Access”

adesso, a leading IT service provider from Germany, and SWIAT GmbH, a FinTech company specialising in the development of blockchain software for an open, decentralised financial market infrastructure, are expanding their collaboration: With SWIAT Access, financial institutions now have simple and direct access to the SWIAT blockchain infrastructure. SWIAT leverages adesso’s IT expertise to achieve this. Just as a router is the point of contact for connecting to the Internet, SWIAT Access enables banks to easily and securely connect their in-house IT infrastructure to SWIAT’s blockchain ecosystem.

With SWIAT Access, the partners adesso and SWIAT are jointly presenting a product that is emblematic of the successful co-operation between the two technology service providers: adesso has been a strategic partner since autumn 2023 and is now one of nine validators in the SWIAT blockchain network. Validators are selected blockchain nodes that ensure that incoming blockchain function calls are validated and executed correctly according to predefined rules and protocols. By integrating the validators into the blockchain, SWIAT increases the security and reliability of its ecosystem specialising in regulated digital assets, strengthens the reliability of its infrastructure for the financial industry and lowers the barrier of entry at the same time. SWIAT Access is another building block.

Tailored entry into the world of blockchain

SWIAT Access addresses the keen interest of financial institutions in blockchain technology as well as the frequently prevailing challenge of providing the necessary IT capacities for blockchain projects. The product gives financial institutions easy access to the world of digital assets, tailored to their requirements. SWIAT Access does not require the deployment of your own IT resources. The technological provision of blockchain access only takes a few days.

SWIAT Access can be used with or without key management software, similar to crypto custody solutions. This allows the banks’ specialist departments to work flexibly and without lengthy technological preparation on various blockchain use cases in the area of regulated digital assets.
