adesso is expanding its expertise in the manufacturing industry through strategic co-operation with the process industry experts at OrgaTech Solution Engineering Consult-ing (SEC) GmbH. This means customers in the process industry will receive advice and software for process engineering and technology from a single source going forward. The partners will make their first joint appearance at ACHEMA 2022 in Frankfurt. At the world’s leading trade show for the process industries, adesso and OrgaTech SEC will present their portfolio having to do with all aspects of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IoT) for manufacturers and service providers.

adesso SE is acquiring quadox AG, a company based in Walldorf, Germany, that specialises in SAP analytics. The acquisition will double the size of adesso’s existing team of experts in the burgeoning SAP analytics field, taking the number to about 70. The move to expand this financially important cross-cutting segment puts the IT service provider among the five biggest SAP analytics experts in Germany. Big-name companies that are already customers of quadox will be served by the adesso Group going forward.

IT service provider adesso is continuing its expansion in Europe by establishing a branch in Bucharest. This new subsidiary in the south-east of Europe means adesso is now represented in 13 European countries in all. adesso Romania is strengthening the adesso Group Global Delivery Network. adesso’s nearshoring concept, which involves international, multilingual teams, makes it possible to staff for challenging IT projects and execute them cost-effectively at a time when pressure is mounting to curb costs and skilled IT workers are in short supply.

IT service provider adesso has announced the creation of a subsidiary, Afida GmbH. The newest member of the adesso SE family will offer insurers a cloud-based platform for the cost-effective and efficient management of life insurance runoff policies. Afida will provide end-to-end policy management for insurers with runoff portfolios.

adesso is expanding its range of industry solutions and entering the sport market. adesso has enjoyed strong links to the sport industry for a number of years now, including as an official sponsor of Borussia Dortmund’s youth and women’s teams; IT partner to the club and to the German football association, DFB GmbH; and co-investor in sport streaming service Staige. Now the company is offering a tailor-made portfolio aimed at the sport industry, where adesso is able to draw on its 25 years of digitalisation expertise.

The “Business Model Life Insurance 2025 - 2030 – A European Perspective” study published by adesso insurance solutions and Versicherungsforen Leipzig forecasts the further development of the business model and offers guidance for the strategic orientation of life insurers.

adesso plans to become the sole shareholder of com2m GmbH. To date, the IT service provider has held a 59 % stake in the company. com2m has gained recognition as a digital transformation specialist with a focus on Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IoT), most recently generating sales of over EUR 3.5 million and an annual growth rate of more than 40 %. adesso will begin integrating the portfolio of the profitable business venture into the parent company with immediate effect as part of its range of innovative digitalisation strategies for the manufacturing sector.

adesso is further expanding its corporate venture activities in Europe by investing in High-Tech Gründerfonds IV. High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) is regarded as Europe’s most active early-stage investor, and its newest fund HTGF IV will have a total volume of more than EUR 400 million when launched in September 2022. adesso has become a co-shareholder in HTGF IV by investing a single-digit million sum, strengthening its commitment to supporting young tech start-ups through its incubator adesso ventures GmbH and accelerating its own innovation speed.
