adesso opens office in Siegen

The same strategy adesso applies to its expansion nationwide is also being followed in Siegen, with the growth- and innovation-oriented group focusing on proximity to major corporate clients in strong economic regions and preferring larger university cities to cover the continued high demand for qualified and highly educated employees. The University of Siegen is training up the young professionals of tomorrow in many areas that are of interest to adesso as a tech company, including business information technology and STEM subjects, and is also home to people with business and industry expertise seeking a new career in IT.

Siegen-Wittgenstein/Sauerland is the third-strongest economic region in North Rhine-Westphalia and therefore attractive to companies such as adesso. IT and service providers have been in the minority here in the past, with the economic landscape dominated by manufacturing companies, which adesso can serve expertly with the digitalisation solutions developed by its Manufacturing Industry division and combining industry 4.0, the internet of things and data and analytics.

Dr Vogel also heads up the Health business area, which designs and implements forward-thinking digital solutions for the healthcare industry backed by a team of more than 300 employees. “We are driven by our desire to modernise healthcare through digitalisation and make it fit for the future,” says Dr Vogel, explaining the motivation behind the move. “We strive to facilitate high-quality patient care and also help drive down costs for operators.” adesso’s customers in this business area include statutory health insurers, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, laboratories, pharmacies, accounting centres and providers of digital health applications.

The existing network of contacts in the region will be very useful in quickly establishing adesso’s presence at the new location. “As a local, I am particularly thrilled to get the chance to stay in contact more easily with the people I know here in the Siegerland region,” says Dr Vogel. “The office in the city centre is the perfect location for it: It features open-plan office areas and large seminar and meeting rooms. adesso can also make use of facilities on the ground floor, which include the reception and the cafeteria, which are ideal places for meetings with customers and guests.”

adesso will be offering its full range of services at the Siegen location, encompassing software development, IT operational management and consulting services across fifteen different sectors. adesso Siegen will, together with all other adesso offices, benefit from its inclusion in the adesso Group’s high-performance, Europe-wide network, now comprising over 8,300 employees.
