These days, businesses compete worldwide for young talents. Attractive training programmes and content that interest young people allow companies to win over up-and-coming specialists, who are in short supply. Because professionally oriented training plays a crucial role in its efforts to foster new talent, adesso, one of the top IT service providers in the German-speaking world, is welcoming 57 trainees and students from cooperative education programmes as the 2023/24 training year gets under way – a new record.

As of 2023, people have been sucking on Em-eukal herbal drops for 100 years. To celebrate this anniversary, Dr. C. SOLDAN – a traditional family business situated in Adelsdorf, Germany – is enlisting the support of the campaign and influencer marketing experts at adesso. Their aim is to design a campaign to celebrate 100 years of Em-eukal with a particular focus on a younger target audience.

TEAG Thüringer Energie AG has chosen an adesso-led consortium to lead its migration to the SAP S/4HANA Utilities platform. In partnership with fellow consortium members Natuvion and Power Reply, adesso will be transferring the processes for energy accounting, market communication, retail sales and customer service processes to the cloud in the next four years. The IT service provider will be able to play to its strengths as an integration partner in complex transformation projects and draw on its SAP and change management expertise.

adesso ventures, the venture capital arm of the adesso Group, has made an investment in the Berlin-based digital health venture Nia Health. Nia Health develops digital applications that patients can use to improve the documentation and management of chronic inflammatory skin conditions while benefiting from more personalised treatment options.

The German Brand Award makes brand success visible. The latest example of this is adesso’s customer VPV, whose HR project AREA has just helped it win the Award for Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation 2023 in the “Employer Branding Activities and Campaigns” category. adesso supported VPV in this endeavour as its digitalisation partner and congratulates the company on this special recognition of its brand.

Michael Zorc, former successful footballer, team captain and sporting director of Borussia Dortmund, joined the adesso SE Supervisory Board on 1 June 2023, an appointment that underscores the IT service provider’s industry expertise and steps up its commitment to international sports business.

Prof. Dr Volker Gruhn, founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of adesso SE, has been elected to the Management Board of Bitkom, the German Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media. The digital association Bitkom represents more than 2,000 member companies, including almost half of the 40 firms listed in the DAX, as well as many other global players.

The Supervisory Board of adesso SE has appointed Mark Lohweber (54) as an additional member to the IT service provider’s Executive Board as of 1 July 2023. Lohweber will take over responsibility for the core industries insurance and banking from long-time CEO Michael Kenfenheuer (65), who will step down from the adesso Executive Board at the end of 2023.

adesso ventures, the venture capital arm of the IT service provider adesso, has made a seed investment in the Essen-based start-up TamedAI, a company specialising in AI-based language models. Perceptor, a TamedAI innovation, makes it possible to automatically scan, extract and process data from documents using state-of-the-art computer vision technology.

adesso continues its international expansion with the acquisition of an Indian software company in the southwestern Indian state of Kerala. For the first time since its inception 26 years ago, the IT service provider has established a delivery center outside Europe. adesso India will significantly strengthen the adesso Group's global delivery and transformation capabilities and enhance its attractiveness as an international digitalization partner.
