adesso has successfully launched Project CarAH in South Africa together with the charitable organisations Südafrika-Hilfe and Arbeit und Leben NRW. The aim of the project is to commit to improving healthcare for chronically ill patients in the region using information technology. High-tech e-health solutions to assist communication between healthcare providers and patients play a key role in the project.

adesso has reached an agreement for the deployment of its Mobile Retter first-responder communication system in Spain. In a public tender process, The Ministry of Health of the Catalonia region, with Barcelona as its capital, chose the first-responder infrastructure from adesso. From December, the IT system will alert first responders to medical emergencies in the region, which has 7.5 million inhabitants.

adesso SE, Deutsche Arzt AG and NOVOTERGUM GmbH have joined forces to establish joint venture pangenia systems GmbH with the aim of developing innovative software solutions for the German healthcare market. The company is set to focus on solutions for orthopaedics, physiotherapy and digital healthcare management.

Yesterday’s entry in the commercial register formally completed adesso’s conversion into a European limited company (societas Europaea SE). Effective immediately, adesso will operate under the name adesso SE. The new legal form underlines the IT service provider’s international focus and is a consistent continuation of its growth strategy.

Choosing a special team at adesso. As part of its initiative to support women in the IT industry, the IT service provider has launched its two-year coaching program ‘adesso eleven’. It gives participants targeted support for the development of their professional potential. The head coach of the adesso team is Martina Voss-Tecklenburg, who is also head coach of the German women’s national football team and ambassador for adesso’s ‘She for IT’ initiative.

The Supervisory Board of adesso AG has appointed Stefan Riedel to the company’s Executive Board effective as at 1 January 2020, raising the number of members to five. The strengthening of the management team comes against the backdrop of accelerated growth and further internationalisation of the adesso Group. Riedel arrives from IBM Deutschland, where he was responsible for the group’s insurance operations across Europe as Vice President Insurance Europe.

In as many as 9 of the 22 exclusive providers surveyed, at least half of the agents would recommend their insurance company to interested colleagues. This means that the representatives of Debeka, Concordia, Con-tinentale, HanseMerkur, LVM, Mecklenburgische, Provinzial Rheinland, VGH and Württembergische Versicherung (in alphabetic order) are more than twice as convinced of their product provider as the laggards in the sector, only around 20 % of which would recommend their insurance company.

The subsidiary, which was fully acquired in 2016 as Smarthouse Media GmbH and subsequently renamed smarthouse adesso financial solutions, is set to form part of the Banking division within the adesso Group. The merger agreement was signed today.
