adesso to focus on new architecture concepts and IoT at OOP 2016

Agile software architectures and the impact of the Internet of Things (IoT) on developers will be the key issues presented by adesso at the OOP software conference from 1 to 5 February 2016 at the ICM Munich. Interested parties can get to know the IT service provider as an employer and receive information on career prospects at adesso.

At OOP 2016, adesso will explain its new microservices architecture approach to visitors at booth 2.10. This approach allows for the parallel development and operation of software in small teams, which supports agile methodologies. adesso experts will provide information on which new tools can be used to coordinate individual applications and services in the microservices architecture and make them compatible with the overall infrastructure.

The desire for a high degree of automation within the IT infrastructure is often the main obstacle to this architecture method. At adesso’s booth, visitors can find out how container concepts can offer support in this regard. Compared to virtual machines, technologies such as Docker represent a lightweight alternative for operating software components and environments directly on the development computer on an encapsulated basis.

Another focus of adesso’s presence at the exhibition will be the Internet of Things and its impact on software development. By enabling completely new business models, the IoT demands a new generation of IT experts. Software architects will increasingly assume the role of business architects. Not only will they design IT solutions, they will also develop appropriate business models.

In Munich, the IT service provider will shed light on central issues of its comprehensive “New School of IT” which include agility, DevOps, Big Data, Cloud Computing and NoSQL. adesso will demonstrate how specialist and IT departments can cooperate more effectively using its Interaction Room concept when developing business-critical software solutions and will explain the “adVANTAGE” price model, a transparent solution for reliable calculation of agile software projects.

At OOP 2016, interested parties can also get to know the IT service provider as a potential employer. adesso employees at the exhibition booth will provide visitors with information regarding opportunities for joining the company and various career prospects.

As well as participating in the conference with an exhibition booth, the IT service provider will also hold a presentation at OOP on 3 February from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dr. Kim Lauenroth, Chief Requirements Engineer at adesso, and two other speakers will discuss the question: “Agility, RE and design thinking: does software engineering have what it takes to be a driver of innovation?”
