As a result, adesso is part of an elite group of companies. After being crowned “Germany’s Best Employer 2023” by the independent Great Place to Work® Institute, the IT service provider has now scored highly in Europe as well. As a winner at national level, adesso automatically took part in the equivalent European competition – and made it onto the podium. To be recognised as one of Europe’s best employers, companies have to enter the national competitions held by Great Place to Work®, in which workplace quality is assessed on the basis of anonymous employee surveys on the topics of trust, innovation, corporate values and leadership. Their commitment to creating a working environment that is inclusive to all employees, regardless of their identity and origin, is also evaluated.
adesso is absolutely delighted to be ranked second in the Best Workplaces in Europe™ 2023. “We are incredibly proud of our three top placings this year,” says Kristina Gerwert, Executive Board member whose responsibilities include Human Resources. “These honours clearly show that adesso is an attractive and popular employer – and one that holds its own at international level. The secret of our success is simple: our corporate culture is systematically and consistently aligned with the interests of our employees. Values such as respect and appreciation, credibility, trust, fairness and a vibrant team spirit are not just empty phrases at adesso. Instead, we put them into practice every day, and they help us create an excellent working atmosphere,” she explains.
The key to success
adesso has earned its spot among the Best Workplaces in Europe™ 2023 thanks to a combination of various individual measures, ranging from the “care[4]adessi” initiative, which supports employees going through difficult situations in their personal lives, family-friendly programmes for staff and a wide variety of measures to promote diversity, through to various events aimed at enlivening the shared adesso culture. An in-house Learning Guide with more than 350 courses and continuing professional development opportunities is also available to employees. Kristina Gerwert sees these formal offers of training as only one aspect, though. “Lifelong learning and curiosity for new topics are second nature to us at adesso. Our growth as a company is directly related to the personal growth of each and every one of our employees. We create an atmosphere in which all of our people can optimally leverage their strengths for the company,” says Gerwert, describing adesso’s philosophy.
Focus on growth
adesso is increasingly strengthening its international presence in order to also become a leading service provider in Europe outside the German-speaking countries. The adesso Group has now grown into a team of over 10,000 employees at more than 60 locations worldwide – over 50 of which are in Europe. The Group is represented in a total of 15 countries, with seven national companies having been established in the past two years alone.
