The pandemic as a driving force for digitalisation and artificial intelligence? That’s right, after 18 months of countless restrictions, the majority of Germans – young and old alike – are in favour of intelligent solutions that make everyday life easier. And they are even ready to give up personal data in the process, as the results of a survey of 1,000 consumers conducted by the IT service provider adesso reveal.

adesso has entered a partnership with INTAS.tech, a business consultant specialised in the integration and management of digital assets for financial services, combining adesso’s expertise in technology and the financial industry with the in-depth knowledge of securities and blockchain specialists.

adesso has strengthened and diversified its digital agency segment with the acquisition of leading influencer marketing agency Reachbird. The team of around 20 experts will expand and strengthen adesso’s full-service online marketing portfolio with the addition of influencer marketing services.

From the 2021/22 season, adesso will act as the official main and shirt sponsor for Borussia Dortmund’s new woman’s football team. Between now and 2023, the women of Borussia Dortmund (BVB) will bear the name of the Dortmund-based IT service provider on their shirts at home and away matches.

Starting in 2022, private health insurance companies will make electronic patient records available to their members, which will require a secure, state-of-the-art infrastructure. The IT service provider adesso SE has entered into a “preferred partnership” with the technology company RISE (Research Industrial Systems Engineering) GmbH to support their customers in the private health insurance sector in implementing and developing electronic patient records with innovative value-added features, technologies and services based on the accredited RISE technology.

The IT service provider adesso is once again expanding its location in Munich. To manage the company’s rapid growth, the Munich offices of adesso recently moved into a space measuring roughly 13,000 square metres at New Eastside Munich. With over 21,000 square metres, the new complex is one of the largest developments in the eastern half of Munich.

adesso has its first foothold in Northern Europe. With the newly founded national company adesso Nordics Oy in Helsinki, adesso, as one of the leading IT service providers in German-speaking countries, will now also open up the Northern European countries. adesso will market its portfolio in Scandinavia and the Baltic States from Finland on.

adesso Austria and adesso Schweiz, two national subsidiaries of adesso SE, have joined forces to serve as a strong partner for the major digitalisation initiative of Mobiliar, a Swiss insurance company. adesso’s eight-person team is part of this digitalisation project and is developing code for automating contract billing.

The newly founded adesso School of Digital Health is an initiative established by IT service provider adesso as part of the Hochschule Fresenius. With the initiative’s two partners pooling their competencies, students will benefit from the Hochschule Fresenius’ expertise as well as the practical, project-based experience at adesso. The School of Digital Health will begin with its Digital Health Engineering bachelor degree (B.Sc.), starting September 2021, with additional joint projects and courses in the pipeline.

Even the longest journey begins with a single step. Or, in the case of autonomous vehicles, the first short trip. Surprisingly, autonomous driving is beginning to pick up some speed: The German government has recently proposed a raft of new laws on the use of autonomous vehicles on the roads. If the Bundesrat, the upper body of the German parliament, approves the legislation, autonomous vehicles could be used on selected sections of road by as early as 2022.
