Safe and fast: Kevla TrustDocS simplifies the exchange of confidential documents
Whether in certification processes or along value chains, the reliable exchange of compliance documents is a crucial factor of success for companies in all industries. The startup Kevla launches TrustDocS – a platform solution for certification management. From now on, companies, no matter whether they are certifiers, suppliers or their customers, can exchange confidential documents quickly and securely via the industry-independent platform.
Sebastian Britz, CEO of Kevla, explains: “Managing compliance documents used to be a fragmented and time-consuming process. By launching Kevla, we are finally offering companies a holistic solution that works across all industries and guarantees the security and integrity of sensitive documents. We are convinced that we are redefining the standard for the exchange of certificates and attestations.”

One platform for all industries
Kevla TrustDocS is holistically designed and enables management of all confidential documents, such as a supply chain, in one place. The platform can map any form of compliance document, from certificates such as ISO, HIPAA or individual certification guidelines to attestations such as ISAE 3000, BSI C5 or SOC2 through to information materials from third parties. With a standardised process chain that is suitable for all industries, Kevla ensures that documents are always exchanged, handled and stored reliably, correctly and in real time.
In technical terms, the TrustDocS solution is based on the proven ISO27001 and C5-tested cloud infrastructure of Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Frankfurt. By using tried and tested services and frameworks, for example for identity verification, rights management and secure data transfer, Kevla ensures that even sensitive confidential documents are stored and exchanged securely at all times. Programmable interfaces (API) also enable simple and seamless connection to customers’ existing IT infrastructures.
Strong basis
As an established company, Kevla can draw on solid foundations of expertise and offer its customers a unique range of products based on leading technology. With the IT service provider adesso and Kiwa, a specialist for testing, inspection and certification, Kevla has found two expert partners for the procedural and technical development of TrustDocS, who will continue to support the team in the operation and continued development of its solution after the launch. The auditing and consulting firm PwC Deutschland supported Kevla as a kind of incubator during its start-up phase and, as a passive minority investor, has not had any influence on the start-up’s decisions since it was founded.
“Only business models where all information (from internal processes to the supply chain) is available in a reliable digital form are fit for the future. This is the only way that companies can control and adapt them in real time in order to remain competitive on a global scale,” says Prof Dr Roland Hüttl, Global Director Inorganic Business Development Kiwa. “With TrustDocS, Kevla has launched a digital platform that simplifies the handling and verification of all confidential documents and the associated data. Users are guaranteed significant benefits in terms of efficiency.”

“With TrustDocS, together we have created a secure and scalable cloud platform for comprehensive certification management that does not yet exist on the market in this form. In this way, we are contributing to the digitalisation of numerous industries,” says Marius Fiebig, Business Line Lead Cross Industries business unit at adesso. “The platform not only makes companies more efficient, but also lays the foundations for trusting and transparent business relationships in an increasingly complex global economy.”
