In the course of the increasingly growing requirements, it was necessary to optimise the ITIL processes, which have been fully productive for several years, in order to meet current and future IT requirements. A strength/weakness analysis of the existing structures was carried out. The basis is the ISO/IEC standard. On the basis of the analysis concrete measures for the optimisation were identified, detailed planned and implemented.

The ITIL processes are introduced, are lived and continuously improved. By bundling the resources used and standardizing processes, considerable cost advantages and synergy effects can be realised.
The Bavarian State Tax Office (BayLfSt) is the link between the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance, Land Development and Home Affairs and the Bavarian tax offices. The data center of BayLfSt (Division IuK 3 / RZ-Nord) is one of two state data centers in Bavaria.
