Earlier this month, SOKA-BAU, one of the largest pension funds in Germany, migrated a total of 1.94 million life insurance policies with the help of adesso insurance solutions. Currently in the midst of a full-scale digitization project designed to automate business processes, SOKA-BAU hopes to create the basis for further digitization and therefore opted for the policy management system in|sure PSLife from adesso insurance solutions.
Migration projects are especially challenging in the world of life insurance and company pension schemes. This type of individual insurance not only involves long policy terms (up to 60 years and more), but also complex mathematics.

"Aware of our plans to transform our entire application landscape, the adesso team impressed with its outstanding service approach and work, which allowed us to both meet our schedule and stay within the calculated budget. This is, of course, not always a given for complex migration projects. We're thrilled to now be able to manage our customer policies with a new, state-of-the-art IT platform."

"If we count the SOKA-BAU project, we've now migrated a total of three million policies for our customers," declares Andreas Nolte, CEO of Afida and future spokesman of the management board at adesso insurance solutions. "As far as we know, this project involved the largest single migration of company pension scheme policies in Germany – a good reason to be proud and to thank our customers for their trust. It has also provided us with an excellent basis for our software-as-a-service business in life insurance via Afida."
