As part of their partnership, starting now, adesso and ApiOmat will examine whether the mobile backend-as-a-service platform can play to its strengths mobilising business processes in adesso’s customer projects. These two companies have already had initial success in adesso’s enterprise mobility project for the Union Investment Group (see our press release from 26 April 2017).
adesso became aware of the backend-as-a-service platform as part of its market and product analyses and has rated the start-up as a “leading technology provider” in this market segment. Thomas Gasber, head of Digitalisation at adesso, says: “As a matter of principle, we advise our customers independently of manufacturers and product-neutrally. But when we are convinced by a product – as we are in this case – we are not afraid of entering into a closer sales partnership if it benefits our customers. They profit from our market overview and from the experience of using an excellent product.”
ApiOmat has managed to make strides in the line-up of leading European providers. Last year, renowned market research institute Gartner ranked the young company at the top of the “mobile backend services” category as a “sample vendor” in its “leader quadrants”. adesso division head Gasber says: “Of course, this recommendation validated our decision to enter into the partnership. We are looking forward to being able to use this product when we are faced with suitable challenges.”
At its core, the partnership is about collaborating on the topics of mobilising and digitalising company business processes. adesso regularly carries out architecture consultations about which mobility middleware to use at the start of customer projects and examines a wide range of different systems.
ApiOmat CEO Marcel Etzel is delighted about the collaboration with adesso. “With adesso in our partner network, we have the opportunity to help a larger community of customers to transform digitally – with state-of-the-art technology that is in high demand.
